Polyethylene plate processing
The advantage of PE plates is excellent processability and weldability, therefore they are used in joining and hot air welding extruders and butt welding. They are suitable for drilling with conventional drill bits without altering the edge. The standard maximum size of PE plates is 3000x1500 mm and 2000x1000 mm. Polyethylene products can withstand temperatures up to 80 °C. This material is resistant to alkalis, acids and solvents. It is the most commonly used type of polymer in the world. The outstanding advantages of PEHD plates include dimensional stability at low temperatures and excellent weldability. This material is health friendly and has a long service life. It is extremely resistant to chemicals, tough and versatile. Its disadvantage is poor adhesiveness.
